An NYPD officer opened fire on a career criminal after he pumped several bullets into a man sitting outside a Harlem convenience store Friday night, police said. Randy Negron, on parole for attempted murder, allegedly launched his ambush-style attack on the unidentified 22-year-old victim on West 125th Street near Amsterdam Avenue at about 6:20 p.m., cops said. As Negron, 32, allegedly shot the man several times, a pair of plainclothes happened to be driving by on the same street and witnessed the mayhem. Negron and his alleged shooting victim were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital. Around the same time, a second gunman darted into the middle of the intersection and fired at the fleeing Negron. The cop also opened fire, according to Edwards.
