Man Sentenced to Two Years in Prison Over Beyoncé Music Theft

Kelvin Evans, the man who was charged with stealing unreleased Beyoncé music from members of her team last year, took a guilty plea on Tuesday, May 12th. As reported by WXIA-TV , Evans was facing up to six years in prison, but has now been given two years under the deal. He pleaded guilty to one count of entering an automobile, for which he received a five-year sentence of two years in prison and three years on probation. The second count, criminal trespass, was merged into the first count. Evans is not eligible for parole. While Evans will get credit for time served since being arrested in September, he also has a previous parole violation and more than a half-dozen other similar break-in cases. As a result, it is currently unclear exactly how much time he will actually have to serve in jail. The break-in to a rental vehicle belonging to Beyoncé’s choreographer and one of her dancers took place in Atlanta on July 8th, inside a parking deck at Krog Street Market.…
