Colorado Springs City Council approves new city attorney, parks director

The Colorado Springs City Council unanimously voted Tuesday to approve two new hires to lead major city departments. Stefanie Boster was approved as the next City Attorney and Skyler Rorabaugh as the director of the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services department. Mayor Yemi Mobolade presented both nominees to the council and gave them the oath of office after they were approved. Boster came from Fort Collins, where she was the deputy city attorney since the beginning of 2025. Boster had also worked as the city attorney for Cheyenne, Wyo., for more than three years and said that she’d visited Colorado Springs years ago to interview for a position an attorney for Colorado Springs Utilities. “I didn’t get that job, but I’m happy to be here 15 years later,” Boster said.
