“Swapped,” the new animated film with a voice cast led by Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple, has broken a Netflix record. After debuting as Netflix’s No. 2 English-language film of the week with 15.5 million views in its first three days, “Swapped” took a major leap, hitting 38.7 million views during the week of May 4-10. That’s the largest audience a Netflix animated movie has ever achieved in a seven-day period. Naturally, that took the film to the top of the charts for the week. “Swapped” ranked as not only the most-watched English-language film of the week, but the most watched title on Netflix overall. It was followed by “Apex,” a Charlize Theron-led thriller film that achieved 16.2 million views in its third week on the chart.
