A motorcyclist was injured after a crash at a busy Christchurch intersection on Wednesday morning.

Emergency services were called to the crash involving a motorcycle and car at the intersection of Halswell Junction and Springs Rds, Hornby, at 6.50am.

Fire and Emergency NZ sent a crew from the Wigram station to the scene.

Hato Hone St John transported one patient to Christchurch Hospital in a minor condition.
