After months of saying that she's going all-in on acting, big-deal pop star Ariana Grande just went ahead and announced a new album. For a few weeks, Grande has been teasing a follow-up to 2024's Eternal Sunshine , and now she makes it official. Grande studio album number eight is called petal , and it's coming in July. Ariana Grande and Iranian-Swedish producer Ilya Salmanzadeh, known professionally as just plain ILYA, will serve as executive producers of petal . ILYA is a longtime Max Martin collaborator who has been working with Grande since he and Martin worked on her 2014 single "Problem" (released exactly 12 years ago today). ILYA and Martin worked on many of the tracks from Eternal Sunshine , including the #1 hits "Yes, And?" and "We Can't Be Friends."
