A French man whose body was found in Lake Dunstan in March will be remembered at an event at Carrick Winery on Saturday.

A Carrick Winery spokeswoman said they were honouring their dear friend and colleague, Antoine Richard, who was last seen at the Victoria Arms Hotel, in Cromwell, on March 21.

His body was recovered from Lake Dunstan on March 31.

With the support of his family, Carrick would host a fundraiser for the Land Search and Rescue who tried to find Mr Richard.

"It’s a small way for us to give back and recognise the incredible work they do in our community."

Cromwell band Offshore would be playing on the night, helping create a space to gather, reflect, and remember.

A Givealittle page would be set up for those who wish to contribute, she said. — Allied Media
