I just got back to the UK after living abroad for 3 years. During that time I worked in hospitality, predominantly in housekeeping and reception. I also had a supervisory role for a while.
I’m looking to apply for a deputy manager at a hotel in a remote area of the country. It will be easy in comparison to a big city property, but I’ve never had a management position before.
How can I be more prepared for this kind of role? Are there any courses or essential training I should consider doing before I apply? What are the most important skills or knowledge for this job?
