Water was supposed to be restored by Thursday midnight, but the delay in work has affected the supply on Friday, Water supply across Pune, disrupted for nearly two days from Thursday due to extended maintenance work and technical issues, was partially restored around 3 pm Friday after elected representatives confronted the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) over the hardship caused to residents. The delay in restoring the water supply irked corporators from all parties, who raised the issue in the PMC’s general body, demanding accountability from the administration. The issue was raised by Kunal Tilak of the BJP, Haji Gafur of the NCP, Anita Ingle of the NCP(SP), and Swarda Bapat and Punit Joshi of the BJP.
