Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada is back, but this time at his own studio backed by old fighting game rival SNK

Image credit: SNK Katsuhiro Harada, having only last year announced his departure from Bandai Namco and the Tekken team he'd been a part of for over 20 years, has founded a new studio. VS Studio, officially established on the 1st May, will be supported by SNK as it starts game development. SNK has decided to invest in Harada's new studio and to bring Vs Studio under the company umbrella as a consolidated subsidiary. Here's a trailer on the Tekken story, featuring Brian Cox. Watch on YouTube In a press release put out alongside this announcement, Harada shared the studio philosophy of "beyond tradition, crafted to perfection", with a goal to "combine technology, sensibility, and world-class expertise to pursue the ultimate."
