So context - I’ve been in contention for this company for like a month now, and on April 15th they said they were still ‘looking at potential candidates’ but they were ‘really interested in me’ so they asked to do a background check - super simple one, just criminal and the social security thing.

Now it’s been two weeks, and I haven’t heard anything from them since I sent in the signature for it. The only thing I know happened is that one person from the company look at my LinkedIn profile but that’s about it.

Both my mom and my partner thinks it would be too desperate for me to send a follow up to see what the heck is up (like I’m basically begging for the job) but I just don’t know. I want to hear other people’s suggestions too or if they agree.
