Powerlifter Interested in Weightlifting

Hey! I'm sure you've gotten some posts like this before, but I figured I'd ask anyway. I've been following Glenn Pendlay's tutorial videos for the snatch and clean jerk and plan on using the 70s Big 3 day per week routine ( https://70sbig.com/blog/2014/09/weightlifting-and-strength-program/ ). For the first week or so, though, I just want to drill the technique with the bar to 42kg or so to feel things out before I start the routine proper. If there are any particularly recommendations you have to help with this transition let me know! I've done lots of front squatting so my front rack position isn't bad, but I struggle with actually catching the bar in the right position when the movement becomes dynamic. I'm comfortable in an overhead squat and, in general, have very good squat mobility; the only thing I'm really uncomfortable with is the split jerk, which looks very intimidating lol.…
