Previously hybrid, now full time in office. 7 weeks pregnant and 5 months postpartum. Get me out Yes you read that correctly, I am 5 months postpartum with my baby girl and also 7 weeks pregnant by surprise. \[use protection, kids!\] The situation is: I work for a toxic company who offers absolutely no maternity pay/ benefits, and generally treats their employees poorly. During my return to work, I have already been reminded several times the expectation is 5 days in office (which they changed while I was on my unpaid leave.) While breastfeeding and being a new mom, this is already impossible, let alone the commute, gas prices, and lack of sanity. Now that I am first trimester, I absolutely loathe this place but particularly for the lack of flexibility despite several asks for accommodation or a return from FMLA policy. And I haven’t even told them about the pregnancy yet! I don’t even want this job anymore. Am I better off just WFH until they fire me? How long will that take?…
