This family-owned operation is a sanctuary for those who love photography.
Army photographer turned businessman Mike Partayan opened the flagship store in Boulder in 1967. He sold it in 1980 to the Christianians, who still own it today. In the 2000s, they began to expand across the state and also into Northern California, opening a Colorado Springs location in 2012.
Whatever you need for your photography obsession, this store has it: digital and film cameras, lenses, flashes, tripods and more.
“We’ve always tried to do everything imaging, from the sale of the camera, to education on how to use it, to developing film or printing images, to framing,” said Mike Dobson, vice president of sales and operations. “We’re a full-service imaging store.”
The store also offers camera, lens and video rentals, repair services, and online and hybrid classes on gear, software, editing, video, composition, lighting, wildlife photography and more.
