Hi All, I have backpacked a few times, but I have never backpacked the Eastern Sierras. My buddy and I like to flyfish so we want to take it easy and fish along the way. I spend a lot of time in the Parker lake area and I have always wanted to hike up Bloody Canyon. I browsed a map and planned this out just based off a map. I would love some thoughts and recommendations! We are looking at going in the summer. Day 1 Bloody Canyon Trail - Upper Sardine 4.5 miles Day 2 Bloody Canyon Trail - Algiers Lake Trail - 7 miles Day 3 Algiers Trail to Gem Lake - 6miles Day 4 Rush Creek Trail to Silver Lake - 4.7 miles Also for folks who fish and backpack. Is it worth taking a fly rod or is a spinner a better idea? submitted by /u/TangledUpInMono [link] [comments]
