This week I started looking for a job again as a .NET developer. Since the pandemic I didn’t really need to look for one, even though I occasionally did some interviews, but now I’m unemployed and needing it. So I decided to show how this process has been and talk about my feelings during this search. This was the first week and I’m still pretty excited even though I didn’t have much success. I applied to 20 positions, got 1 referral from a friend, however the company contacted me but they didn’t have a position that matched my profile. Still, I felt very grateful to know I can count on friends that recommend me and trust my work. The other applications were through LinkedIn. I only got 1 response so far, however I was rejected right away. The recruiter said that because I don’t live in the big capital city of my country, which by the way is Brazil, it would be complicated to send the equipment, so they decided to move on with other devs.…
