ABC has renewed the freshman drama “ RJ Decker for Season 2, Variety has learned. With the renewal, ABC has now picked up its entire existing primetime scripted lineup for the 2026-2027 broadcast season. The network previously renewed the dramas “9-1-1,” “9-1-1 Nashville,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “High Potential,” and “Will Trent,” as well as the comedies “Scrubs,” “Abbott Elementary,” and “Shifting Gears.” “RJ Decker,” which is inspired by the Carl Hiaasen novel “Double Whammy,” debuted on ABC in March, with the first season consisting of nine episodes. Per Nielsen data, the series premiere has reached 15.2 million total viewers through 35 days of multiplatform viewing.
