Salesforce Bets Its Future on a Platform Without Screens

Salesforce just told the world its familiar screens matter less than they once did. On its fiscal first-quarter 2027 earnings call, executives described a future where data, workflows and intelligence flow through APIs, Model Context Protocol tools and command-line interfaces instead of browser tabs. The shift carries a name: Headless 360. Announced at TrailblazerDX in mid-April, the initiative turns every major Salesforce capability into something an AI agent can call directly. No login. No dashboard. Just function calls that pull customer records, trigger automations or update records from inside ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or Slack. The Register reported that since launch the system has handled 4.5 million MCP calls and nearly a trillion API calls.
