Image credit: Rockstar Games As we eagerly await GTA 6's marketing push to kick off, Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online continue to make millions of dollars each month , so it's not surprising to see Take-Two push to consolidate multiplayer mods around FiveM, the platform it acquired back in 2023 . The latest blow to GTA 5 's vibrant modding community comes through the announcement of RAGE:MP shutting down operations as soon as 1st June, 2026: "In accordance with that policy, and at Take-Two's request, RAGE:MP will begin a structured shutdown process. We are asking all server owners to wind down their operations and migrate to FiveM."
