The Mise En Scene Company (MSC) has acquired world sales rights to “ Dope Queens ,” from writer-director Grafton Doyle, and will introduce the title to buyers at the Cannes Film Market . The film is produced by Julio Lopez Velasquez – whose credits include “Buck Run” and “A Place in the Field” – via Tomorrowland Productions, alongside John Reyes Doyle, Grafton Doyle, and Atit Shah, in association with Create Entertainment. “Dope Queens” played at the Palm Springs International Film Festival earlier this year. Based on true events, the film follows three friends who must hustle through the night on the streets of Tenderloin, San Francisco. Popular on Variety MSC will open worldwide sales discussions at Cannes with distributors, streamers, and premium platform buyers.
