Genuine question from makers: Have you ever needed to outsource a part of a project to someone else—like needing something 3D printed, laser cut, or CNC'd because you don't have that equipment? If so: How hard was it to find someone? Did you know them personally, or did you have to search? Was it expensive? Slow? Would you do it again or just buy the equipment yourself? I'm asking because I keep seeing posts about "idle 3D printers" and "makers with equipment," but I never see the flip side: people who actually NEED custom parts and are trying to find someone to make them. Is that a real problem, or does everyone just order online at this point? submitted by /u/IssueBig9882 [link] [comments]
