Foo Fighters Rip Through "Caught in the Echo" and "Window" on Colbert

Foo Fighters stopped by  The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday night to perform two songs from their new album Your Favorite Toy :  “Caught in the Echo” and “Window.” “Caught in the Echo” came first, and it’s safe to say that Dave Grohl and co. were locked in and sharp as ever. The song’s interlocking guitars and pounding drums from Ilan Rubin made it a powder keg, and even in front of a studio audience and camera crew, that energy came through. The song especially popped off at the conclusion, where the bridge culminated in a furious, tom-heavy blitz from Rubin and a full band freakout. Get Foo Fighters Tickets Here They also performed the contemplative rocker “Window” as a bonus performance, a song that the group debuted during their intimate surprise show at New York City’s Irving Plaza last week. Though less visceral than “Caught in the Echo,” it’s still a warm, driving tune from the Foos, complete with some tight harmonies from Chris Shiflett and Nate Mendel.…
