Hi guys! I’m 18F and have an insane love for meteorology and hope to do a masters surround it post bachelors (environmental science). I live in South Wales and we’ve literally just had the most insane thunderstorm (to me at least, its been a hot minute since seeing one) which ended with what i believe is golfball hail (attached a few pics of it). I went out on foot around campus to try catch some videos of the lightning and was just wondering if anyone has any tips for going through all my videos to see if i caught any actual strikes or just the flashes. I took all the videos on my iphone 17 (HD, 30 FPS) since i dont have any proper equipment. I do have my laptop that i can connect my phone to if needs be as well as pcs in a few of the uni pc labs which are open 24/7. thank you so much guys!! literally shaking in pure excitement still i’m so passionate about the weather so fingers crossed it all works out for me in the future.…
