Burnout — “I’m barely making it today, I don’t have that kind of energy” Feeling replaceable, “They do not value my unique contribution” They don’t DESERVE my good apple behaviors!! — harboring resentment due to past history. A close friend of mine told me “everyone is replaceable and we live and work in a burn out culture, good apple or not you are still just as much at risk as the bad apple.” I understand this perspective. It can really feel this way especially if we have been in a place that hasn’t supported us the way we wished and have seen good apple friends get let go for underperformance. These are not optimal conditions for our good apple growing behavior.…
