Bryan Reynolds Joins Pirates Legends After Career Milestone

PITTSBURGH — Bryan Reynolds is the longest tenured member of the Pittsburgh Pirates and his recent career milestone showed it. Reynolds got the 1,000 hit of his career on a single in the top of the third inning vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field on May 6, which ended up as a 1-0 win. That hit put him amongst five Pirates players all-time that have at least 1,000 hits, 200 doubles and 140 home runs, which includes Hall of Famers in right fielder Roberto Clemente (1955-72), outfielder/first baseman Willie Stargell (1962-82) and right fielder Dave Parker (1973-83), plus outfielder Andrew McCutchen (2009-17, 2023-25). It's great company for Reynolds to find himself in, even if he's not quite close to the achievements those four players had in their time with the Pirates.
