Dave Grohl Says ‘Wicked’ Ruined His Album Title Plans: ‘I Was So Pissed’

In an interview with Radio X on May 1, Dave Grohl spoke about his latest album, Your Favorite Toy, which was released on April 24. Although the album was ultimately named after the title track, Grohl revealed that he originally had another title in mind. However, he ended up changing it because of Wicked: For Good , which came out in November 2025. "Actually, you know what I wanted to call the record?" Grohl said during his interview. “I wanted to call the record For Good ." The idea came from a lyric in the song, “Your Favorite Toy.” The line goes, “Get back, hear that, boy? Someone threw away your favorite toy for good." Grohl said, "I was like, oh, that’s a good, not only title for the song but also for the album. It could have more than a few meanings, but I’m like, ‘That’s kind of nice, For Good .’" He continued, "And then that Wicked movie came out and it’s called Wicked: For Good and I was so pissed.…
