A minor fire that broke out at a construction site linked to the Residence Al Habtoor Grand building in Dubai was swiftly brought under control by Dubai Civil Defence teams, with no injuries reported. Businessman Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, founder and chairman of Al Habtoor Group, said on his X account the fire was caused by “the ignition of some materials stored at the site”. He added that the site will be handed over to the relevant authorities once cooling operations are fully completed.
