A slower and softer companion to the chugging, electric-guitar-laden“Rock Music,” “I Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night” finds Charli singing to a friend she’s considering turning into something more. “Maybe we could become each other, like something out of a Jacques Rivette movie or something,” she sings, referencing the French New Wave director. “I wonder if I just want you as my best friend, or if I’m just a really late bloomer.” Later, she touches on her own sexuality, noting: “Now I'm wondering if maybe I could be gay, but come on, look at me, I’m probably not.…
