General Motors is recalling 40,440 vehicles across the US due to sediment in the brake fluid, which increases the risk of a crash.
The specific model of the vehicles affected by this latest brake fluid recall has not been disclosed.
This action follows a separate recall initiated last month for over 270,000 Chevrolet Malibu cars (models 2023-2025) in the US.
The previous recall addressed a defect in the rearview camera system that could cause a distorted or blank image, significantly compromising a motorist's ability to see behind their vehicle and increasing the risk of a collision.
Owners of affected vehicles from the rearview camera recall will receive free replacements, with notification letters expected to be dispatched from 18 May.
