Compact gaming tablets are a rare thing. There aren’t many brands willing to pack flagship hardware into a small slate, but Lenovo has been doing it for a few generations now with the Legion Tab. The next one is nearly here . The Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5 has appeared on Lenovo’s US website with a “Coming Soon” tag, signaling that a stateside launch isn’t far off. Lenovo is targeting May for the wider release, and the listing lines up with that window. When it does arrive, it’ll start at $849, a significant jump from the $549 the Gen 3 launched at. That price bump is hard to ignore. But the specs back it up, at least on paper. The Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5 runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The 8.8-inch 3K LCD display runs at 165Hz, and Lenovo managed to stuff a 9,000mAh battery into the same compact frame, all while keeping the weight at 360 grams.…
