On February 19, join n+1 for a celebration of Sophie Pinkham ’s The Oak and the Larch , a cultural and environmental history that reveals how forests have made and resisted Russia’s many empires. Pinkham will discuss the book, which is out now from Norton, with n+1 founding editor Keith Gessen . Copies of  The Oak and the Larch will be for sale, along with beer and wine.
