There’s no denying that cloud platforms are extremely accessible, especially for folks who don’t want to manage all the aspects of hosting their own apps. But despite their extra benefits, I’ve started to grow disillusioned with tools that rely on external servers. For one, cloud apps tend to shove ads in my face if I don’t shell out extra money on premium subscriptions, all while collecting my usage statistics to build an advertisement profile.
