At least I thought I wasn’t. That is, until one day, I was sitting on the toilet with a bad stomachache. I began to go blind and see stars. I freaked out that I was about to collapse and suddenly thought: “If I die right here, right now, no one will find me”. It was a brutal reality check. I thought that I wasn’t afraid of death until it came knocking on my door. The truth is that I’m not afraid of death. I’m afraid of the events that take place right before it. If you ask the majority of people, many of them might say the same. Of course, we worry about loved ones and how we’re going to leave them behind with responsibilities, bills, and, of course, our absence.
