I was an early hire, right out of design school, and have been here for 10 years. The firm was founded by two founding partners, my bosses. My title is now Creative Director. The three of us are the lead creatives, and I really love our partnership. We work well together and, day-to-day, this job is everything I could possibly want. Well, except for one thing. I’m increasingly unhappy that I’m not a full partner in the business. They obviously do more with business acquisition and hiring and the nitty gritty of running a company, but as far as the strategic direction of the work itself, they treat me as an equal partner.
