Stephen A. Smith has responded to Jaylen Brown proposing that the ESPN personality retire, if he wants the Boston Celtics star to “be quiet.”

Stephen A. revisited a previous complaint he had about Brown saying this past season was his “favorite year,” despite winning an NBA championship and receiving the NBA Finals MVP award two years ago.
“A champion and a Finals MVP saying his favorite season is the season he’s home in the FIRST ROUND,” Smith wrote. “This is not about ME. It’s about YOU….and what YOU SAID.”
In a post on X on Thursday (May 7), Brown wrote that he will “be quiet” and stop streaming, if Stephen A. would also “‘be quiet’ and retire.”
