Hello all! I recently bought an old house that needs its roof replaced. I was pretty aware of it and accepted the downside during inspection (and luckily negotiated some credits, so that helped a lot). In addition, the garage roof (flat slanted) also needs a replacement. Now I'm a bit stuck. I've only been able to get 3 quotes so far, and I don't know what to make of it. I'm in the Portland OR area if that helps. I closed on Tuesday so it hasn't been long since. Company A - Quoted 15k for both house and garage roof. They were nice and friendly, but were also conversed the least with me. They did do explain all the things they would do, and were informative! But just a lot less compared to the other one. Also their inspection of the roof were quickest of the three. Took only about 20 minutes while the others took about an hour, though the other two did their estimates on the spot and this company gave me their estimate the next day.…
