Hi all, We’re planning a short weekend trip to Kutch- leaving Gandhinagar Friday night and returning Monday morning. We want to keep it cheap, so plan to travel to and from by bus, but we’re open to self-driving inside Kutch if that makes things easier. Here’s what we absolutely need to do: Stargazing at night. Visit Rann of Kutch (White Rann) for sunrise/sunset. See Dholavira Harappan site. Cover Bhuj heritage spots (Aina Mahal, Prag Mahal, Kutch Museum, Bhujodi crafts). What I’ve learned so far: From Gandhinagar, buses to Bhuj/ Bhachau are more reliable than trying to get closer directly. From Bhachau, you need a taxi/jeep to reach Dholavira (~3–3.5 hrs, costs around ₹2.5k–₹3.5k). Cabs for round trips inside Kutch can cost ~₹4.5k for ~350 km. Local transport in rural areas is weak, so most people either hire a cab or self‑drive. Overnight self‑drive from Gandhinagar is possible, but tiring.
