The bulk of team building is complete. Between free agency and the NFL draft , teams across the league have had ample opportunities to upgrade their rosters heading into the 2026 season.  Still, every franchise has areas of its roster that can be improved. There are several free agents still on the open market, and players available through trade. For some teams, a late-season addition could put them over the top as a playoff or Super Bowl contender. For others, it could position them for success in future seasons or add intrigue ahead of the 2026 campaign.
