A landmark lawsuit brought by the parents of the first US victim of Hamas could finally stop American groups accused of funneling money to the terror group. Parents Joyce and Stanley Boim initially filed a lawsuit at federal court in Chicago in 2000, and it has endured ever since. In 2004, the family won $156 million in damages after a judge found that two charities — the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP) and the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) — were fundraising fronts for Hamas.
