According to Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool Is Strictly a Supporting Character Now

It’s hard to imagine Ryan Reynolds’ take on Deadpool not being the star of whatever show he happens to be in; with all those fourth-wall breaks, the guy pretty much embodies “main character syndrome.” However, Reynolds recently doubled down on something he’s talked about in the past : moving forward, the snarky, R-rated hero of Deadpool & Wolverine will be repositioning himself as more of an ensemble player. While being interviewed on Sunday Today (via Variety ), Reynolds explained that while fans can probably expect Deadpool to pop up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it won’t be in the manner that some might have expected: as the star of a fourth Deadpool movie. “I have some stuff kind of written, but I don’t think I am ever going to center him again,” Reynolds said.
