While it has been in the works since 2012 ( Polygon first wrote about Skywind in 2014 ), its developers recently released a massive update video about the project after keeping their heads down for two years. On May 8, the Skywind team released a new video on their YouTube channel detailing the work that the 100-plus volunteers have done since 2024. Most 2D and 3D art assets, as well as the majority of writing and voice acting, are nearing completion. 10 of Morrowind's 13 regions are nearly finished, while 75% of the animation work needed for the mod has been completed.…
