I've been interviewing for this IT consultancy company for about a month and a half. I got through all their interviews, met with the director of the department and everything went well. About a week ago I got the call from the recruiter that the team were happy with my interviews and they'd like to move forward and hire me. I was beyond excited, this job would be a bit life changing for me. Fast forward a week later, the recruiter still has not emailed me my written offer. I got the call on Thursday last week. Over the phone I was told that I'd get my offer by Friday or worst case scenario early next week. But it has been over a week now. I emailed the recruiter and he said that he's been waiting on approvals from the leadership and he'd inform me when the approvals go through. I'd be lying if I said I haven't been anxiously checking my phone for the past week waiting for this offer. Is this kind of wait time normal? Am I panicking for no reason? Or should I be worried?…
