April is in the rearview mirror, which means we have more than a month’s worth of data to evaluate the 2026 season. There’s an old baseball adage that although you can’t win a division in April, you can lose it. Well, several expected contenders seem determined to test that truism.  Even the best teams in the big leagues so far have seen at least one weakness emerge that could cost them down the line, if it isn’t already. The theme of this edition of power rankings, which we last published two weeks ago , is to highlight that potential Achilles heel for each club. 1.
