Please help me figure out how to approach (kinda) acceptions. Hello all, if you have made it this far I appreciate it already, it would be immensely appreciated if you could stick around a few longer and share whatever insight you have, regardless of what it is. **A little bit of context:** am a senior in my universities geology program. I have an exceptionally low GPA because I initially came to school with the mindset of enjoying learning what I love about the subject, and getting out and getting job. This resulted in me essentially not doing any assignments I found that I already knew, or were boring, or outside of my interests, for my first \~2 out of 4 years. I was never not smart, my peers always came to me for help, I was just lazy. After getting some really good undergraduate research for 2 years, I have realized I do not think it will be possible for me to be fulfilled in a role that is not research either for industry or academia.…
