Decentralized social network Damus ( damus.io ) has announced a new feature that will allow users to earn a small fraction of Bitcoin called “satoshis” based on post engagement. Damus claims to be a social network that is controlled by users and does not rely on centralized companies. The app is built on a decentralized network called Nostr, which uses decentralized relays to distribute messages. The upcoming Bitcoin payout option will be available in the app’s next update, but no release date has been provided yet. Some community members are excited about the feature and see Nostr as the future of monetization.
