I have a Spotify playlist full of all my favorite throwback songs from when I was a kid. It's great. But, occasionally, a song will come on, and I'll do a double-take at what the lyrics are actually saying. The most recent example of this? " Shake It " by Metro Station. What 11-year-old me thought was a cute song about dancing is actually packed with kinda creepy sexual innuendos. (Still an absolute bop, though). So, I did a deep dive on Reddit to see what other explicit lyrics people didn't clock onto until they were a little older, and there's a lot to process here. Let's get into it!
