Folks loveeeee to make generalizations about entire groups of people, but would it shock you to learn those generalizations are pretty much never true?? (I really hope you answered "no," lol.) 1. "That we don't overthink texts. Bro, I've stared at 'sounds good' for 10 minutes trying to figure out if she's mad." 2. "That we all desperately want sons and not daughters. I have four daughters, and every time my wife was pregnant, I got constant comments saying, 'I bet you hope it's a boy,' or 'I hope it's a boy for your sake.' I never really even thought about whether or not I specifically wanted a son. We wanted to have a family, we have one, and we love them all. When people hear I have four daughters, they all expect that I'm somehow suffering or must feel like I'm being punished and must wish I had a boy, or ask if we'll try one more time to get a boy.
