While the Philadelphia Phillies have been able to get a spark following the firing of Rob Thomson, the team still has a long way to go to get to where they want to be.  Following a terrible start to the season, the Phillies made the right call at the time to part ways with their manager and try to create a bit of a spark for the team. So far, that has been the case with the franchise performing a lot better.  It wasn’t too long ago that Thomson was brought in to provide that spark for the team in 2022, and now the team is hopeful that Don Mattingly can have the same success that he had a few years ago.  While the firing of Thomson was a wake-up call for the team, there are still some underlying issues for the roster. Even though the starting rotation is one of the best in baseball when healthy, it is the lineup that has really struggled .  Philadelphia sought upgrades for the unit this winter but was unable to make a noticeable splash.…
