The New York Rangers are preparing for a very important offseason, and the team will have numerous big decisions to make regarding the direction of the franchise. With the fifth pick in the upcoming NHL Draft, the Rangers are going to be hoping to snap a streak of struggles when it comes to making lottery picks when they are on the clock this year.  However, while they might be able to add an impactful young player, this is a team that wants to contend for a playoff spot next season, and in order to achieve that, they will have to add some talent either in free agency or on the trade market.
