I’m 48. Long time rider. Weight 67kg

I’m heading to France to do big climbing days 3500m/day. Madeleine, galibier etc.

my local climbs are a lot smaller and no really sustained steep pitches.

On the trainer spinning at 90rpm I can do 3.1w/kg for 35-40 mins but I find this power much harder at lower cadence in real world climbing scenarios.

I’m keen to hear peoples thoughts on preparing for the bigger climbs, targets, and gearing.
